Job Details
Prepare technical design and develop telematics product features using Java/J2EE and Database related technologies.
Collaborate with product management teams to translate telematics feature specifications into high-quality, timely deliverables as a strong hands-on technical member in telematics product development.
Develop service and client-side code and database scripts for high-volume transactions.
Produce clean, unit-tested, and refactored code when required.
Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, design and develop solutions to fix defects and stabilize new products.
Analyze and report production issue and ticket trends, providing recommendations.
Analyze current technology and develop improvement steps and processes.
Participate in production issue triage, tracking, troubleshooting, ticket creation, maintenance, assignments, and vendor follow-up.
Work with stakeholders to satisfy customer requests and resolve issues.
Identify root causes of technical issues, create RCA documents, and coordinate root cause analysis and problem management meetings.
Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of the production system and implement best practices.
Identify issues and risks related to Issue/Incident Management and take escalation actions.
Interact with project teams for new product development, providing insights from previous product technical issues.
Maintain flexibility between development and support applications.
Work effectively as part of a team, communicating and collaborating well with others.
Preferred Requirements:
- 4+ years recent Java/J2EE experience.
- Experience with J2EE technologies (Spring framework, iBatis/MyBatis, REST/SOAP Web Services, Java design patterns, MVC, JMS, Servlets).
- Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) with complex query writing and SQL analysis/tuning.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
- Experience deploying applications on J2EE servers (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat).
- Production incident and issue management experience with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Experience with complex, multi-vendor projects.
- Stakeholder coordination experience.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Nice to have:
- SOA vs. microservices knowledge.
- Connected car architecture knowledge (systems integration, in-vehicle services).
- Functional and technical design documentation experience (UML or EA).
- Jenkins, JIRA, Eclipse, Git, Bitbucket, Unix experience.
- Frontend technology knowledge (web/mobile).
- SSL/TLS certificate knowledge.
- Networking protocols understanding.
