Position SummaryAs Lead Website Architect, you will play an integral role in redefining the business unit’s online presence and positioning ecommerce as a critical commercial sales channel. You will ensure the ecommerce site runs efficiently, customer demands and feedback are heard, and releases of new features and improvements meet a set standard. You will be responsible for leading the digital product roadmap, ensuring flexibility and performance to support business growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the business unit website ecosystem, focusing on improving customer experience and ecommerce impact.
- Build and deliver outstanding digital experiences with seamless customer journeys.
- Manage a roadmap and strategy for digital experience and ecommerce functionality.
- Prioritize customer needs by performing market research, user research, A/B testing, data analysis, and user testing.
- Translate findings into user stories, product requirements, and desired outcomes.
- Gather marketing user feedback and translate it into actionable requirements.
- Set up workflows for content creation, approvals, and version control.
- Collaborate with IT on Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
- Conduct training for new functionality.
- Work with team on customer communications.
- Develop cases and insights for new ecommerce features.
- Support problem-solving by analyzing performance, fielding inquiries, and proposing solutions.
- Work with business analysts to set up user acceptance criteria and detailed processes.
Essential Requirements
- BA/BS degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience.
- Experience building ecommerce platforms and using content management tools.
- Minimum 3 years of development experience with multiple web technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JSP, XML, Web Services).
- Lead developer experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise content management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, ecommerce platforms (SAP Commerce Cloud), CMS platforms, and DAM platforms.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in life science or genomics
- Experience using Optimizely
- Experience with CCV2 (SAP Commerce Cloud)
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite, O365, project management software
