Internship Description At Smiths Group, we are looking for motivated and detail-oriented students to join our legal team.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Duration: 10 weeks (June-August 2025)
Commitment: 40 hours per week, primarily on-site with remote work options
Compensation: $20/hour

The intern will support the Ethics & Compliance team, gaining exposure to other parts of the legal department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the legal team with research, document review, presentations, and analysis on legal topics relevant to ethics and compliance.
- Collaborating on legal projects encompassing multiple geographical regions, focusing on ethics & compliance, corporate governance, international trade, and ESG compliance.
- Attending team meetings and participating in discussions.
- Participating in a manufacturing site visit.
- Engaging in HR workshops on career development.
- Working with cross-functional teams to understand global operational legal implications.
