Internship Description At Smiths Group, we are looking for motivated and detail-oriented students to join our legal team as interns in Washington, D.C., for 10 weeks from June to August 2025. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world legal experience, working alongside seasoned professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the legal team with research, document review, presentations/communications and analysis on a range of legal topics relevant to ethics and compliance in a global business.
- Collaborate on legal projects that span multiple geographical regions, including in the areas of ethics & compliance, corporate governance, international trade compliance and environmental, social and governance (ESG) compliance.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Participate in a manufacturing site visit to see one of our division’s operations in action.
- Engage in HR workshops focused on career development, including resume building, interview techniques, and professional communication.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand the legal implications of our operations across the world.
Requirements
- Must classify as a Junior or Senior in a local College or University.
Compensation: 40 hours per week; $20/hour.
