The ACLU seeks a Graduate or Legal Intern for the Justice Policy & Government Affairs team. This internship is remote. Qualifying applicants must currently be matriculated graduate or legal students and must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Division Director, the intern will support current strategic policy campaigns. The intern will assist with recommending policy options which include outcomes that align with ACLU values and strategies.
Your Day to Day
- Assist with identifying opportunities to advance civil liberties and civil rights in complex policy areas.
- Assist with developing strategic legislative and administrative policy options.
- Assist with preparing and drafting testimony on pending legislation.
- Assist with coordinating in-depth civil liberties briefings for government officials.
