Legal Internships – Academic Year 2025-2026

Recruitment Timeline:
- April 21 – May 9: Applications Open (may close early).
- Early May – Mid June: First round video interviews.
- Mid June – Mid July: Second round interviews.
- Throughout July: Selected candidates receive offers.

Program Dates: September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026
Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week (flexible).

Universal Studio Group (USG): Produces over 100 scripted and unscripted series globally.
Stamford Media Center (SMC): A full-service production facility with popular daytime programs.
Corporate Functions: Support all NBCUniversal businesses.
Areas of Placement:
- Universal Studio Group Business Affairs: Support the administrative and legal affairs departments. Assist with deal memos, agreements, summarizing deal points, and updating Salesforce.
- Legal – Music Business & Legal Affairs: Research music rights, analyze and summarize music deal terms, draft talent agreements, review production content for music, and track rights.
Basic Requirements: Actively enrolled student. No December 2025 graduates. Sophomore or above (30+ credits). US work authorization. 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025- April 17, 2026. U.S. location required. Valid US work authorization needed (F1 CPT, F1 OPT, J1, M1 status not applicable unless able to change or adjust to another status granting work authorization).
Desired Characteristics: GPA 3.0 or above. Strong written and oral communication skills. MS Office proficiency.
USG Business Affairs: Sophomore to senior undergraduate student preferred. Studying in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Pre-Law, English). Proficient at learning new computer applications.
Legal MBLA: Current J.D. candidate. Ability to understand music-related concepts and contractual language.
Hourly Rate:
- Undergraduate: $17.50
- J.D. Candidate: $25.00
