Job Details
CAL is seeking a Manager, Listening Test Development to oversee the development of Listening test items for the WIDA suite of assessments. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving test items, developing test refreshment plans, and providing feedback to test developers.
Essential Duties:
- Manage test development staff.
- Evaluate test items for difficulty and appropriateness.
- Provide constructive feedback on test item text and graphics.
- Coordinate with functional teams and partner organizations.
- Oversee the development and revision of item specifications.
- Coordinate consultant item writers and reviewers.
- Lead meetings for stakeholder feedback.
- Oversee audio recording sessions and quality monitoring.
- Review and edit written reports and procedures.
- Conduct pilot testing and cognitive lab interviews.
- Review and approve test maps and ancillary documents.
- Maintain test and item design plans.
- Ensure data accuracy in test item databases.
- Set team goals and mentor staff.
