Contractor Manual Tester

About the RoleAs a Manual Tester, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality software by performing comprehensive manual testing for web-based applications. Working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA staff, you will help refine QA methodologies, manage test cases, and ensure seamless product releases.

Responsibilities

1. Execute end-to-end manual testing to ensure products meet quality standards.
2. Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
3. Identify, classify, and prioritize bugs based on severity and impact, ensuring prompt resolution.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing methodologies and maintain quality workflows.
5. Provide insights on improving QA processes, including potential future automation.
6. Track and report testing metrics and results, leveraging tools like Qase.io or similar platforms.
7. Communicate testing updates effectively to all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3–5 years of manual testing experience, preferably in agile environments.
• A strong understanding of test strategies, planning, and execution.
• Familiarity with QA management tools.
• Ability to classify bugs by severity/priority and communicate findings effectively.
• Basic understanding or willingness to learn automation testing concepts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring thorough validation of features.
• Strong communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
• Flexibility to collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with automation tools or scripting (a plus but not required).
• Knowledge of QA best practices and working with global testing platforms.
