Role Overview
As a Mid-Senior Compositor, you'll integrate CG elements, matte paintings, and live-action footage to create seamless, high-quality final shots. You'll report to the Head of 2D and are responsible for creating final deliverables in accordance with the VFX supervisor's direction.

Key Responsibilities
- Compose complex VFX shots for film/TV, ensuring seamless integration of CG/live-action
- Maintain high photorealism, color accuracy, and consistency across sequences
- Troubleshoot creative/technical challenges
- Collaborate with CG, lighting, and matte painting teams
- Apply advanced compositing techniques (3D projections, multi-pass rendering)
- Mentor junior artists
- Optimize workflows and contribute to compositing tools/techniques
- Effectively receive/implement feedback
- Meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Communicate professionally with team and clients
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience as a compositor in a high-end VFX studio
- Expertise in Nuke and advanced compositing techniques
- Understanding of color theory, grading, and photographic principles
- Experience with multi-pass CG compositing, deep compositing, and 3D projections
- Familiarity with other software (Maya, Houdini, industry-standard tracking)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of Python/scripting for compositing automation (a plus)
- Stereo compositing experience (a plus)
Location & Authorization
Remote work is only available within Quebec.
You must have legal authorization to work for any studio in Canada and be based in Quebec, preferably Montreal. (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with an open work permit).
