• Effectively use online technology and resources.
• Grade assignments, participate in discussions, respond to student emails.
• Enhance the learning experience for students.
• Maintain respect for students, Walden University, and the discipline.

• New faculty receive training in online teaching techniques and the electronic learning platform.
• Assessment of academic integrity of student work.
• Research supervision of theses and dissertations.

• Assigned courses are taught using Canvas.
• Interact with students within Canvas.
• Be in the classroom a minimum of 4 days/week.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hrs.

• Must be appropriately credentialed as a FNP.
• Possess an earned degree from an accredited institution.
• Maintain licenses and certifications.
• Maintain currency with research.
• All NP faculty are required to obtain and maintain RN and APRN licensure in the state of Minnesota.
• Provide evidence of current Advanced Practice certification prior to hire.

• Earned Doctorate (DNP or PhD) preferred.
• Record of professional scholarly contributions.
• Minimum of one year’s experience of teaching in higher education.
• Current clinical experience in NP practice.
• Teaching experience, preferred online teaching experience.
• Commitment to advocating for student learning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
