GENERAL SUMMARY: The College of Nursing seeks dynamic, innovative faculty for part-time (contributing) positions in the Master of Science in Nursing program. Key responsibilities include teaching advanced pharmacology courses for nurse practitioner students. Reports to the Clinical Core Specialty Coordinator. Part-time faculty will work with other faculty and administrators.
Responsibilities:
- Teach advanced pharmacology courses.
- Maintain scholarship/practice in specialty area.
- Potentially assist with faculty orientation, development, mentoring, and evaluation.
- Participate in college/university committee service.
- Effectively use online technology and resources to educate students.
- Provide timely and thoughtful feedback and grades through the Canvas platform.
- Ensure student questions are addressed within 48 hours.
- Adhere to Walden University faculty expectations.
Qualifications:
- Earned Doctorate
- Higher Ed teaching experience
- Current Pharmacist/PharmD or active Nurse Practitioner Practice and Scholarship
- Recent clinical/practical experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, team, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Evidence of current licensure in the US
- Experience with distance learning (preferred)
- Commitment to student needs in a distance learning environment.
Compensation:
Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter/Semester (based on course type and length)
Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter (based on course type and length)
Technology Requirements:
- Adequate computer, keyboard, pointing device, and monitor.
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), zip software, Adobe Acrobat
- Reliable internet access
Licensing/Certification:
- Appropriate credentials and earned degree from accredited institution.
- Maintain licenses and certifications
Work Environment: Primarily virtual; requires daily computer use.
