Contractor .NET Developer

Join our team in modernizing a state agency system by developing a secure, efficient, and fully digital application.

This position involves working closely with business analysts, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to build a robust solution using the Microsoft .NET stack.

1. Responsibilities:
2. Develop and maintain application components based on technical specifications.
3. Write clear, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
4. Perform unit and integration testing; participate in code reviews.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
6. Manage deployments to various environments (development, testing, production).
7. Document code, processes, and system configurations clearly.
8. Provide post-implementation support and training to state engineers.
9. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum processes.

1. Qualifications:
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
3. At least 3 years of experience with C# and .NET Framework (.NET 6/7 preferred).
4. Strong proficiency in ASP.NET MVC/Core.
5. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework, or ADO.NET.
6. Proficiency in Visual Studio and Git for version control.
7. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
8. Capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Nice to Have:
• Experience with Azure services (App Services, Azure SQL, DevOps).
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Blazor).
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Previous work on government or enterprise-level applications.
• Familiarity with best coding practices, async operations, and security scanning tools.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio analyzers, code standard tools (.editorconfig), and spell-check extensions.
• Experience with Azure DevOps branching strategies, pull request validation, and automated build processes.
