Full-Time Newsroom Editor

Business Wire is looking for a Newsroom Editor to accurately prepare and transmit news releases.

Responsibilities:

• Format, edit and proofread press releases.
• Code each release based on client request.
• Contact clients regarding potential errors.
• Assess the authenticity of press release orders.
• Monitor incoming orders and online transmission.
• Assist other Newsroom teams.
• Maintain knowledge of Business Wire products and services.
• Assist with incoming phone calls and client questions.
• Help guide clients through the order submission process.
• Communicate technical issues to the Service Desk or Web Support teams.
• Authorize credit card payments.
• Run and submit the daily distribution report.
• Maintain a log of daily activity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic technical skills and computer literacy
• Must demonstrate reliability
• Professional demeanor
• Must be flexible with schedule
