Job Details
The primary responsibility of a Business Wire Newsroom Editor is to accurately and efficiently prepare and transmit news releases.
Available shifts: Overnights - Monday to Friday 10:30 PM ET to 7:00 AM ET
What You Will Do:
- Format, edit and proofread press releases quickly and accurately.
- Code each release based on a client’s request for distribution.
- Contact clients regarding any problems that could lead to errors.
- Assess the authenticity of press release orders.
- Monitor incoming orders and ensure that all are handled in a timely fashion.
- Assist other Newsroom teams with overflow of orders as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Business Wire products, services, procedures and policies.
- Assist with incoming phone calls, including fielding client questions regarding distribution options, and answering other general questions.
- Collaborate with sales and other departments as necessary.
- Communicate all technical issues to the Service Desk or Web Support teams in a timely and detailed fashion.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and follow projects through to completion under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic technical skills and computer literacy
- Must demonstrate reliability through good attendance and punctuality
