As a No-Code / Low-Code Systems Developer, you’ll collaborate directly with the CEO to enhance and expand our internal technology ecosystem. You’ll take ownership of building apps, automations, and integrations that power everything from freight booking to warehouse visibility.
This is a remote, long-term contractor role with flexible hours, but a high standard for output, ownership, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain business-critical applications in Airtable, Zapier, Microsoft Power Platform, and other no-code platforms
- Develop and maintain robust API integrations between UCanTrade systems and external platforms (e.g., MyCarrier, RocketFuel, Pipe17, Outlook, OpenAI, etc.)
- Design and launch intuitive user interfaces and custom workflows that improve operations and team adoption
- Embed tools into Microsoft Teams as pinned apps for company-wide visibility
- Develop clean, up-to-date documentation for systems, automations, and APIs
- Stay proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline processes through automation or tool development.
Engagement Details
- Contract Type: 1099 Contractor
- Commitment: Long-term (6+ months, with opportunity to grow)
- Hours: ~10–20 hours/week to start, flexible with growth
- Rate: Negotiable, based on experience
- Timezone: Remote, must be accessible during key Pacific Time working hours

Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience building no-code/low-code tools using Airtable, Zapier, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong experience in API development and integration (RESTful APIs, webhooks, authentication, etc.)
- Proven track record of designing and launching systems that solve real business problems.
- Solid UI/UX instincts and the ability to create tools that are easy to use and visually clean.
- Familiarity with embedding apps into Microsoft Teams and building within a Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to document and communicate your work clearly.

- Experience with logistics systems
- OpenAI, or automation tools like Make.com
