Patient Access Undergraduate Intern reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Upholding the mission, standards and values of NMH.
- Successfully completing projects and work tasks as assigned.
- Developing a working knowledge of hospital operations to allow successful completion of projects supporting a variety of hospital operations.
- Developing working relationships with staff and management for successful business interactions across all levels of the organization.
- Participating in activities designed for intern development during their assignment at NMH.
- Full communication with department managers and staff to successfully transition work at close of internship.
Additional duties, responsibilities, and tasks will be outlined in an appended document to meet the needs of the individual and organization in each internship.
Other duties as assigned.
Important Location Information: The NM Patient Access Internship is offered in five main Chicagoland regions.
- North Region (Lake Forest Hospital and surrounding areas)
- Central Region (Northwestern Memorial Hospital and surrounding areas)
- West Region (Central DuPage Hospital, Delnor Hospital, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Valley West Hospital, Kishwaukee Hospital and surrounding areas)
- Northwest Region (McHenry Hospital, Woodstock Hospital, Huntley Hospital and surrounding areas)
- South Region (Palos Community Hospital and surrounding areas)
