The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring all payments are calculated in accordance with relevant Enterprise Agreements/ Modern Awards and Australian legislation.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Accurately enter and verify employee payroll data into the SAP payroll system.
- Process all types of terminations.
- Manage the end-to-end payroll administration of overpayments.
- Serve as the second point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions.
Now let’s talk about you:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated payroll processing role, within Australia is essential.
- Working knowledge of Australian Modern Awards is required.
- Experience using T&A systems i.e. Tanda and Deputy, or UKG.
- Intermediate Excel Skills - V lookups, pivot tables etc.
- Proficiency in using computerised payroll systems (e.g. SAP Employee Central Payroll) and time & attendance software (e.g. UKG).
- A demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail are critical to ensure error-free payroll processing.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for effectively handling employee inquiries.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet strict, non-negotiable deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
