Job Details
TED is seeking a Podcast Producer to create a new podcast series for the TED Audio Collective. This role involves executing the creative vision and production of a new show that tackles existential questions through personal storytelling, expert interviews, and multidisciplinary exploration.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hosts to develop episode concepts.
- Research and book diverse expert guests.
- Conduct pre-interviews and write interview prep.
- Lead or support interview sessions.
- Write and edit scripts.
- Cut tape and assemble episodes.
- Manage fact-checking process.
- Support development of companion video podcast adaptations.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
- Maintain production calendars.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in audio production for radio or podcasts.
- Background in journalism, audio storytelling, and/or educational media production.
- Experience working with young adult content creators.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Experience with editing software (ProTools, Adobe Audition).
- Knowledge of philosophy, science, technology, and culture.
- Experience with remote recording setups.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
