Contractor Principal Medical Writer

We excel at understanding the ever-changing and complex healthcare market and helping clients solve issues including product value positioning, access improvement and launch pricing and contracting. We are currently seeking a Principal Medical Writer to join our fantastic team to cover a 12-month fixed-term contract. This position can be offered fully remote in the UK.

Primary Responsibility: Ensure all content developed is evidence-based, high-quality, meets client strategic objectives, and translates science into clinical benefit across medical education, communications, brand, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Development: Writes, reviews, and provides feedback to others (Medical Writers, Editors, Graphic Artists) to ensure content meets client objectives and Precision AQ standards. Analyzes, interprets, and utilizes complex medical documents; reviews junior team member analyses. Maintains current knowledge of competitor products, drugs in development, treatment, strategic issues for assigned therapeutic area(s).
2. Scientific Expertise: Provides scientific and strategic background to Writers, Editors, and other staff. Stays abreast of latest research and market changes impacting the therapeutic area and brand.
3. Regulatory Review: Oversees and manages regulatory review process for all projects. Ensures consistency and leverages learnings across client teams.
4. Client Management: Leads and/or supports discussions with clients and external experts. Identifies and develops new clients.
5. Financial Management: Develops budgets for scientific-based projects. Flags over-service/potential over-service on scientific projects and implements solutions.
6. Project Management: Identifies and manages freelance resources, manages timelines and expectations.
7. New Business: Assists with strategic planning and identifying new business opportunities. Participates in presentations and pitches.
