Part-Time Principles of Ethics Professor

Course of instruction: Principles of Ethics (ETHC445). This course helps students acquire ethical tools to determine appropriate courses of action, applying ethical principles to choices and decisions in professional and personal life.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides students with an approved Chamberlain University syllabus.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Uses appropriate online technologies and software for course preparation and accessibility.
• Models effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning.
• Sets clear course expectations (objectives, assignment/examination dates, and evaluation weights).
• Ensures exam content aligns with course objectives.
• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in grading and provides timely feedback.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (with 18 graduate hours in the subject).
• Relevant graduate coursework in Ethics (medical or legal), Philosophy, Law, and/or Religious Studies.
• Subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
• Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and facilitate diverse groups.

Compensation

The expected compensation rate is between $715/Earned Credit Hour and $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
