Intern Progressive Writer Intern

Progressive Writer Intern contributes to ONC's mission by completing essential tasks in the Core Content Department, focusing on political content, including OpEds and Policy Proposals for ONC's website.

The process is collaborative, with political discussion in a respectful, nonpartisan environment.

Exceptional writers may help write a book.

Interns will participate in podcasts, events, and other assignments.

Must ensure ONC's commitment to nonpartisanship, ideological diversity, and civil debate.

Core Content writers consist of conservative, progressive, and moderate writers, focusing on 8 policy areas.

Interns must have interest and experience in at least one policy area, preferably two or three.

Core Content Department meets Fridays at 6:30 PM (EST).

Applicants must submit a writing sample.

This position is remote and requires strong communication skills.

Commitment to at least the end of the Spring semester (August 30th, 2025).

• Create consistent website content with a team.

Requirements:

• Exceptional writing skills.
• Proficient verbal communication.
• Responsive, consistent, and effective communication.
• Experience in policy research, political commentary, or related domains.
• Enthusiasm for ONC's mission.
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines.
• Google Workspace experience is a plus.
• Attendance at weekly mandatory meetings.
• Authorized to intern in the U.S.
• A writing sample is required.
