Insight Global is partnering with a management consulting firm to hire for a fully remote part-time Project Manager to assist with telecom focused projects.
This role will be approximately 15-25 hours per week reporting into the PMO Director for assistance with project tracking, deliverables documentation, and working in tandem to alleviate duties of the Director. The role is project based for the company's client needs.
Perform technology project management involving overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of projects related to client s technology infrastructure and services. Project scope includes the following functional areas:
- Planning: Assist with defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordination: Once the project plan is in place, coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and tracking progress against established milestones.
- Resource Management: Allocating resources effectively to meet project goals within budget constraints. This may include managing personnel, equipment, materials, and other resources required for project implementation.
- Risk Management: Assist with identifying potential risks (i.e. technical challenges, compliance issues, budget overruns, and schedule delays), developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the project meets predefined quality standards and specifications. If applicable, conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and best practices.
- Change Management: Assess change requests (resulting from unexpected changes, scope revisions, resource reallocation, or technology upgrades), evaluating their impact on project objectives, and implement appropriate modifications while minimizing disruption.
- Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback to ensure alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Previous Project Management experience within a corporate setting required
- Hands on experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira, Monday.com, etc)
- Hands on experience with telecom, networking, or wireless/wired projects
- Ability to work 15-25 hours per week on a reliable basis; comfortability to work 100% remotely
- Associates degree or higher
Nice to Have:
- PMP, or additional relevant certifications
- Bachelors degree or higher education within a related space
- Hands on telecom / 4G / Fiber experience
