Job Details

  • Fixed Term Contract, 15 hours per week
  • $77,133 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation

In this role, you will assist in preparing reports and provide high-level administration and customer service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Administer and maintain Public Health Unit databases.
  • Ensure data integrity within Environmental Health databases.
  • Provide administration support to the coordinator.
  • Implement and maintain the Public Health and Wellbeing Act/Food Act registration system.
  • Liaise with software vendors and internal departments.
  • Produce reports based on regulatory requirements.
  • Process letters, reports, minutes, newsletters, and brochures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the community and clients.
  • Carry out general and specific administrative tasks.
  • Enter and process data, information, reports, inspections, and audits into databases.
  • Update the Hume City Council website.
  • Process applications and ‘Statements of Trade’.
  • Promote open communication within the team.
  • Process information into Council’s record management system.
  • Lead the publication and production of external correspondence.
  • Adhere to Public Health Unit policies and procedures.
  • Carry out duties as directed by the Coordinator.

The skills and experience you’ll bring:

  • Certificate in Administration or relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to access and prepare reports from databases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act/Food Act Registration System.
  • Office organization skills.
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
