Contractor Python Software Engineer

• Use FastAPI in all our Python-based systems
• Deliver initial improvements and small-scale features across services.
• Enhance core Python components and optimizing system architecture and performance.
• Contribute to the design of APIs and the implementation of integrations.
• Influence technical strategy and architecture decisions.
• Contribute knowledge and guidance on Python and API-related topics across teams.
• Mentoring junior developers and shaping coding standards.

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Strong understanding of architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with FastAPI and building scalable web APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment (Kanban).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (e.g., asyncio).
• Exposure to Docker and containerization.
• Basic knowledge of AWS services.
• Some experience with React.js or front-end collaboration (HTML, CSS, JS).
