Orchard Robotics is a seed-stage startup focused on revolutionizing precision agriculture using AI. We're building AI-powered camera systems that provide detailed data on crops to optimize farming practices. We need a QA/Technical Support Engineer to ensure data quality and reliability.
About the Role: As Orchard Robotics' first QA/Technical Support Engineer, you'll be crucial to ensuring the accuracy of our AI-powered camera system scans. You'll start by manually verifying data quality, identifying issues, communicating with customers, and documenting feedback. Later, you'll build automation tools and dashboards to improve efficiency and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly QA checks on customer scans (100+).
- Execute checklists for GPS accuracy, scan completeness, and data integrity.
- Monitor camera processing queues and address issues proactively.
- Spot-check scans using remote access and our FruitScope platform.
- Provide detailed feedback to customers, operations, and engineers.
- Automate repetitive QA tasks using scripting, dashboards, and software tools.
- Develop dashboards and tracking systems to improve monitoring.
- Optimize QA processes for better data quality and turnaround.
- Communicate with customers regarding scan status, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with support, engineers, and operations to resolve issues.
- Create, resolve, and manage support tickets in HubSpot.
- Support onboarding of new customer accounts and farms.
- Conduct QA testing of FruitScope features and performance.
- Provide feedback to engineers to meet customer needs and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash). Familiarity with Linux/SSH.
- Experience with developing automation tools/dashboards (Grafana, Tableau, etc., a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solution-oriented approach.
- Experience with ticketing systems (HubSpot, Jira, etc., a plus).
- Experience with AI tools (Windsurf, Cursor, etc., a plus).
