Contractor ROKU Developer Remote

ROKU Developer will develop and maintain Roku applications, writing clean and efficient code and collaborating with cross-functional teams for high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Roku TV applications using Scene Graph and Brightscript.
• Implement UI/UX designs within the Roku TV ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Roku TV application development.
• Proficiency in Scene Graph and Brightscript.
• Strong understanding of Roku's development environment and tools.
• Experience with video streaming technologies and DRM solutions.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other streaming platforms and languages.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
