LOCATION: You can be based anywhere in the patch. This could include the central belt of Scotland, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds. You must be able to travel by car.

About the role: An exciting opportunity to join JDP! We've had a strong start to 2025, building on several years of growth. We need an experienced Sales Manager to lead our external sales teams across Scotland, the North of England, and the Midlands. You'll need to keep the team on track and have the ambition to grow further.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a Sales Manager with extensive experience in Civil or Construction businesses who can make a significant impact. This role sits on JDP's Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the national Head of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop an external sales team, ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded.
  • Gain product knowledge and experience in the civil drainage industry or related sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Promote JDP's market profile and secure increased market share.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and commercial/financial acumen to maximize profitability and growth.
  • Provide market intelligence to the business.
  • Travel regularly across the managed regions (company car provided).

  • Proven track record of successful sales.
  • Strong leadership, relationship building, and business development skills.
