Contractor SAP ABAP Developer

PURPOSE: This position provides primary ABAP programming support, leads development solutions, facilitates offshore team liaison, and collaborates with HQ on best practices. Responsible for ERP project/enhancement assessment and execution, including service delivery on CBU's SAP ERP instance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver quality products as an ABAP technical lead and lead ABAP Projects.
• Provide programming solutions to various SAP functional areas.
• Respond to SAP ABAP production Issues and Research causes of problems.
• Propose and test corrective action with user departments.
• Work with functional consultants for integration tests.
• Perform routine duties, record keeping, report preparation, address updates and maintenance for SAP systems with ABAP perspective.
• Perform other duties as required.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

• Helps businesses implement cost-effective technology solutions by clearly determining project/program requirements and communicating them to stakeholders.
• Works with management and end-users to improve or re-engineer business processes for increased efficiency.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

Experience:

• 3+ years' IT experience.
• 3+ years' experience solving business problems with technology, preferably in Automotive or Manufacturing.
• Hands-on ABAP programming experience is required.
• Ability to set expectations, explain and champion technical concepts.
• Ability to translate details into specific tasks.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, system troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script and Smart Form).
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW).
• S/4 Hana knowledge is a plus.

Certifications: SAP ABAP certification preferred.
