Contractor SAP ABAP Developer

PURPOSE: This position provides primary support for ABAP programming, meeting client requirements. It involves leading development solutions, liaising with offshore teams, and collaborating with Korea HQ. The role is accountable for SAP ERP project and enhancement assessment/execution, including service delivery for CBU SAP ERP instances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver quality products as an ABAP technical lead and lead ABAP Projects.
• Provide programming solutions for various SAP functional areas.
• Respond to SAP ABAP production Issues and research problem causes.
• Propose and test corrective action with user departments.
• Collaborate with functional consultants for integration tests.
• Perform routine duties following procedures for regular tasks.
• Keep records, prepare reports, manage and maintain SAP system addresses (ABAP perspective).
• Perform other duties as required.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

SALARY: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years’ experience in the IT field.
• 3+ years solving business problems with technology, preferably in Automotive or Manufacturing.
• Hands-on ABAP programming experience is required.
• Ability to set expectations, explain complex technical concepts.
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically.
• Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills.
• Strong system troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script, Smart Forms).
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW).
• S/4 Hana knowledge is a plus.

CERTIFICATIONS: SAP ABAP certification preferred.
