Contractor SAP ABAP Developer

PURPOSE: This position provides primary support for ABAP programming. It leads development solutions, supports business systems, liaises with offshore teams, and collaborates with Korea HQ to implement best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Delivers quality products as an ABAP technical lead and leads ABAP projects.
• Provides programming solutions for various SAP functional areas.
• Responds to SAP ABAP production issues and researches problem causes.
• Proposes and tests corrective actions with user departments.
• Works with functional consultants for integration tests.
• Performs routine tasks according to procedures.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and manages SAP system addresses (ABAP perspective).
• Performs other duties as required.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

• Helps implement cost-effective technology solutions by determining project/program requirements and communicating them to stakeholders.
• Works with management and end-users to improve/re-engineer business processes for higher efficiency.

Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.

Related Work Experience:

• 3+ years IT experience
• 3+ years solving business problems with technology solutions (Automotive or Manufacturing preferred)
• Hands-on ABAP programming experience is mandatory
• Ability to set expectations, explain technical concepts to peers, management, and business partners
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
• Strong system troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script, Smart Forms)
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW)
• S/4 HANA knowledge is a plus

Certifications: SAP ABAP certification preferred

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.
