Contractor SAP ABAP Developer

PURPOSE: This position provides primary support for ABAP programming to meet client requirements. It involves leading development solutions, supporting business systems, liaising with offshore teams, and collaborating with Korea HQ to enhance best practices. The role is accountable for ERP project and enhancement assessment and execution, including service delivery on CBU's SAP ERP instance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver quality products as an ABAP technical lead and lead ABAP Projects.
• Provide programming solutions to various SAP functional areas.
• Respond to SAP ABAP production issues and research problem causes.
• Propose and test corrective action with user departments.
• Work with functional consultants for integration tests.
• Perform routine duties according to procedures for regular tasks.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and manage SAP system addresses with ABAP perspective.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

• Help businesses implement cost-effective technology solutions by determining project/program requirements and communicating them to stakeholders.
• Work with management and end-users to improve/re-engineer business processes for higher efficiency.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

Related Work Experience:

• 3+ years IT field experience
• 3+ years solving business problems with technology solutions, preferably in Automotive or Manufacturing
• Hands-on ABAP programming experience is required
• Ability to set expectations, explain technical concepts
• Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication, and professional interaction skills
• Proven problem-solving ability in complex environments
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, analytical, and system troubleshooting skills
• Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script, Smart Forms)
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW)
• S/4 HANA knowledge is a plus

Certifications: SAP ABAP certification preferred
