Contractor SAP ABAP Developer

PURPOSE: This position provides primary support for ABAP programming, meeting client business requirements, leading development solutions, liaising with offshore teams, and collaborating with Korea HQ to implement best practices. The SAP ABAP Developer is accountable for ERP project and enhancement assessment & execution. This includes service delivery (break/fix) on CBU's SAP ERP instance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver quality products as an ABAP technical lead and lead ABAP projects.
• Provide programming solutions to various SAP functional areas.
• Respond to SAP ABAP production issues and research problem causes.
• Propose and test corrective actions with user departments.
• Work with functional consultants for integration tests.
• Perform routine duties per procedures for regular tasks.
• Maintain records, reports, addresses for SAP systems with ABAP perspective.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

• Help businesses implement cost-effective technology solutions by defining project/program requirements and communicating them to stakeholders.
• Work with management and end users to improve/re-engineer business processes for higher efficiency.

SALARY: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years' IT experience
• 3+ years solving business problems with technology solutions (Automotive or Manufacturing preferred)
• Hands-on ABAP programming experience
• Ability to set expectations, explain technical concepts to peers, management, and business partners
• Ability to translate details into actionable tasks
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively & analytically
• Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
• Strong system troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script, Smart Forms)
• In-depth knowledge of SAP systems & modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW)
• S/4 Hana knowledge is a plus

CERTIFICATIONS: SAP ABAP certification preferred.
