Part-Time Science Writer

Job Summary:Synergy Enterprises, Inc., seeks a part-time Science Writer to support federal health agencies. The candidate will create, manage, and execute assignments synthesizing and communicating complex scientific concepts for various audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact professionally with biomedical clinicians, researchers, and policymakers.
• Research biomedical topics (journals, etc.) and synthesize information for diverse audiences.
• Research, write, edit, and review content (meeting notes, reports, social media, website, newsletters, federal reports, publications).
• Think analytically, articulate ideas clearly, and write/edit various copy (meeting notes, reports, web content, social media, marketing, news stories, articles, etc.).
• Work under pressure, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and negotiate priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field + 5 years experience in communications, journalism, or agency work (or equivalent).
• Experience with women's health research, science, and NIH is preferred.
• Ability to support multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in high-stress, time-sensitive environments.
