Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery across critical projects. This is a fully remote, 4-month contract role with the potential for extension.
Ideal Candidate: Strong Agile leadership, excellent facilitation skills, proven track record guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience in wealth management is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams delivering key initiatives
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)
- Remove blockers and protect the team from external interruptions
- Ensure consistent application of Agile principles and practices
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile values and behaviors
- Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and prioritization
- Track team performance and help drive continuous improvement
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe
- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills
- Experience working with Jira or similar Agile project management tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the Wealth Management domain
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Experience working in the Canadian banking or financial services sector
