Intern SDOH Undergraduate Intern

The SDOH (Social Drivers of Health) Undergraduate Intern Program reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM.

The SDOH Internship Program will support our Patients First mission, as teams from diverse backgrounds bring enriched perspectives to problem-solving and are better equipped to identify gaps in understanding.

Interns will participate in the implementation of a SDOH patient screening tool to help meet patient needs, especially focused on patients from underserved populations.

Undergraduate Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Uphold the mission, standards, and values of NMH.
2. Successfully complete assigned projects and work tasks.
3. Develop a working knowledge of hospital operations to successfully complete projects supporting hospital operations.
4. Develop working relationships with staff and management for successful business interactions across all levels of the organization.
5. Participate in activities designed for intern development during their assignment at NMH.
6. Communicate with department managers and staff to successfully transition work at the close of the internship.
7. Additional duties and tasks will be outlined in an appended document to meet individual and organizational needs.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Required: Current enrollment in an undergraduate program.

Preferred: Completion of at least sophomore year of study.
