Role: Seeking a senior contractor for a 6-month remote assignment, potentially permanent, focused on DevSecOps security architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate security into DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate security testing (SAST, DAST, IAST).
- Review and advise on secure architectural patterns.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews.
- Implement and maintain security automation tools.
- Manage vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Conduct training on secure coding practices and DevSecOps.
- Continuously assess and improve security processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, OWASP Top 10).
- Experience with DevOps tools, security testing, and cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Programming and scripting skills (Python, Go, Java, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Knowledge of securing microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Cloud security expertise (IAM, encryption, network segmentation).
- Strong communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CKS) preferred.
