Job Title: Senior Application Programmer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6+ Months

Summary:

• Respond to computer system emergencies and resolve problems independently or with IT staff/users.
• Research and resolve complex program, machine, data, or system software problems.
• Provide expert advice on application tools, hardware, software, or databases.
• Train IT staff on databases, tools, techniques, and procedures.
• Research new hardware and software developments.
• Design, code, compile, test, debug, modify, and document complex applications.
• Implement in-house and vendor-supplied applications.
• Evaluate and recommend technical solutions.
• Define data elements, design database structures, and document data elements.
• Write user guides and other documentation; meet with users to determine needs and evaluate results; train users.
• Evaluate and analyze complex enhancement requests.
• Prepare and supervise formal system test procedures.
• Prepare and monitor work plans to ensure timeliness, data integrity, and availability.

Mandatory Expertise/Experience:

• Prior experience with large-scale state Enterprise Architecture systems serving multiple governmental agencies.
• Experience in an Enterprise Architecture environment with various components.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture component integration.
• Experience with at least one of these EA components: Decision Center, Decision Server, IBM Business Rules Engine (BRE), webMethods, Software AG, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), API Gateway, Broadcom/Software AG Enterprise API Gateway.

Desirable Expertise/Experience:

• 6+ years’ experience performing these duties in large-scale Enterprise Architecture environments.
