Contractor Senior Automation Engineer

Take a seat on the rocket ship and join us as a Senior Automation Engineer to help people succeed across the world. You'll work on our robust, cloud-hosted platform in Microsoft Azure, with a modern front-end built using Vue.js.

Responsibilities:

• Champion functional quality across teams by acting as the voice of QA.
• Design, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies and best practices.
• Evaluate the ROI of automation and guide teams on when automation may be counterproductive.
• Implement the TCOE Architect-approved reusable automation framework.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements.
• Conduct exploratory, smoke, sanity, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Recommend and implement solutions to reduce test execution time.
• Help team members in automation frameworks, CI/CD processes, and manual testing methodologies.
• Ensure automation frameworks support scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility compliance.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of test suites.
• Review and improve existing automation practices.
• Support delivery teams in setting up automation processes, PR reviews, and coding practices.
• Participate in defect triage meetings, root cause analysis, and provide detailed bug reports.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• At least 5+ years of experience in Web Automation, including framework design and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong experience in manual testing.
• Proficiency in C# for automation scripting.
• Experience in automated web testing using tools like Selenium.
• Develop automated tests for modern front-end applications built in modern javascript frameworks.
• Solid understanding of functional testing methodologies.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Experience with cross-browser testing, usability, and accessibility testing.
• Proficiency in using cloud-based platforms like BrowserStack or LambdaTest.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Experience in mobile application testing.
• Strong understanding of testing types.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium.
• Hands-on testing across Android and iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with automated mobile test frameworks and seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience testing modern front-end applications built with frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Exposure to Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) or enterprise QA practices.
