Role Summary:
The selected candidate will work closely with the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) development and operations teams to design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS services. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of AWS tools, both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure resources, and involves collaboration with a range of technical team members, including architects, developers, and business analysts.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
Maintain, manage, and secure highly available, scalable, and resilient systems on the AWS platform.
Design, implement, and manage DevOps tools to automate operational processes within AWS.
Develop and maintain secure deployment infrastructure in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and document findings.
Work within an Agile team environment to prioritize tasks and collaborate with other DevOps team members.
Coordinate with development teams to manage technical expectations and provide support.
Design, implement, and maintain security controls, governance processes, and compliance support.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years in a DevOps role, 5+ years with core AWS solutions, 3+ year in Agile team environments.
Skills: Proficient in AWS CloudFormation for automation, Python programming, Linux environments, and Shell scripting.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field. (Additional work experience may substitute for formal education.)
Certifications: Must be AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate/Professional.
Preferred Skills:
In-depth knowledge of AWS core components (e.g., IAM, WAF, API Gateway, ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, etc.).
Experience with cloud security and compliance services, as well as knowledge of system vulnerability assessments and OS patching.
Familiarity with healthcare-related projects is strongly preferred, as is experience in environments with stringent compliance standards.
Additional Requirements:
Healthcare Experience: Candidates must have previous experience in healthcare IT environments.
