Senior Financial Analyst is part of the Finance and Accounting team within Finance at FreeWill reporting directly to the VP of Finance. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the company, providing insights that drive decision-making and drive company-wide planning and forecast.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate forecasts and monitor performance against budgets. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses. Develop and maintain complex financial models.
- Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Present insights to executive leadership.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance. Participate in the development of pricing strategies and assess their financial implications.
- Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and implement best practices. Enhance financial systems to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal financial policies.
Requirements:
- Background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related area.
- SaaS and start-up experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software and ERP systems like QuickBooks.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Highly independent and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Language Proficiency:
- Written and verbal fluency in English.
