AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrologist to join our team in our Tucson, Arizona office. This will be a remote position as an on-call, as needed employee.
This role will support proposals and projects requiring assessment and condition of water and soils.
The successful candidate will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the U.S.
- Assessing water and soil resources
- Evaluating groundwater flow models
- Preparing and reviewing resource reports for NEPA documents
- Performing technical and administrative tasks related to groundwater investigation, with minimal direction
- Assignments may cover hydrology or other technical disciplines, under specific terms and with frequent professional staff review
- Monitor data to determine impacts of upstream activities, and verify activities comply with permitted conditions
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrology, or related field
- 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency in supporting permitting and environmental impact analysis documents
- Ability to travel for agency/client meetings and fieldwork
- Valid U.S. Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a science or related field
- 15+ years of experience in environmental permitting, NEPA compliance, natural resources management, and/or cultural resources management
- Strong current and recent experience with federal agencies
- US Citizenship is required.
