POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager, Estimation for 174 Power Global will lead cost estimation oversight across the nation for Utility-Scale Solar and BESS projects. Requires travel up to 30% of the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and progressively elaborate on capital expenditure estimates for project execution costs (engineering, procurement, and construction) for Solar and BESS projects.
- Upon initial project screening, develop high-level +/- 30% estimates using parametric and analogous estimating techniques.
- Develop project-specific, detailed cost estimates using a bottoms-up approach.
- Create and maintain a cost estimating database using historical project data.
- Review and analyze vendor and contractor proposals to ensure cost reasonableness.
- Work with the project development team to evaluate project risks and opportunities.
- Work with project stakeholders to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of cost estimators.
- Support project financing activities by providing cost data and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Support contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
