About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Scrum Master to bridge the gap between our business stakeholders and software engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project execution by effectively managing Asana tasks, facilitating clear communication, and driving the translation of business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a collaborative and productive environment that delivers high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Asana Task Management: Maintain meticulous oversight of all project tasks within Asana, ensuring accurate tracking, assignment, and progress updates. Optimize Asana workflows to enhance team efficiency and transparency. Generate regular reports and dashboards from Asana to provide stakeholders with clear project visibility.
- Prioritization and Planning: Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the product backlog. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that the team understands and adheres to Agile principles and practices.
- Business-Engineering Liaison: Act as a key facilitator between business stakeholders and software engineering teams, ensuring clear and effective communication. Lead workshops and discussions to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications. Clarify ambiguities and resolve conflicts to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation. Help the business and technical teams understand the others teams constraints, and needs. Help to remove any impediments that the teams are facing.
- Technical Understanding: Leverage your technical background to understand the complexities of software development and facilitate informed discussions. Help the team understand the technical limitations, and possibilities of the project. Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong and collaborative relationships with team members and stakeholders. Foster a culture of trust, respect, and open communication. Help to build a team that is self organizing.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Promote a culture of continuous learning and adaptation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years work experience
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
- Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes
- Proficiency in using Asana for project management and task tracking
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience working with both business and technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field is a plus
