Job Details
We're looking for Senior Test Automation Engineers for a project based on a Kafka data-driven platform with components developed in Java Spring Boot.
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and optimize automated test scripts for both individual components and system-wide test scenarios.
- Partner closely with developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
- Promote and implement Shift-Left testing practices within the project.
- Leverage a Gherkin-based framework to design and run automated test cases effectively.
- Develop and sustain testing strategies for Kafka-driven data pipelines.
- Craft test scenarios tailored to Java Spring microservices, focusing on performance, scalability, and dependability.
- Identify and resolve issues in test scripts and environments.
- Operate within an Agile framework.
- Guide and support junior QA and automation engineers.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in test automation, with expertise in component and system-level testing.
- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or similar, using Gherkin syntax.
- Advanced expertise and understanding of Kafka-based architectures.
- Experience in microservices testing - Java Spring Boot applications, including RESTful APIs.
- Experience with automation tools like Playwright or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Polish and English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with data quality testing tools or libraries.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Supply chain domain knowledge.
