• WP Activity Log: Most comprehensive activity log plugin.
• WP 2FA: Facilitates two-factor authentication.

Melapress is a remote software startup.

Develops several WordPress security, user management, and administration plugins.

Plugins are installed on over 400,000 websites.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new features for WP Activity Log and WP 2FA.
• Identify and implement opportunities to use AI in development workflows.
• Review, improve, and contribute to existing open-source codebases.
• Collaborate with support and product team on troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
• Stay up-to-date with WordPress and web security trends.
• Maintain high code quality through rigorous reviews and testing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects.
• Other responsibilities may arise in a small, fast-growing team.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years WordPress plugin development experience.
• 6+ years PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL experience.
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture (hooks, REST API, security, performance).
• Solid knowledge of WordPress/web security (logging, authentication, MFA, user account security).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AI tools (accelerating development or enhancing plugin features).
• Proficient in Git.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
