Contractor Sessional Ombudsman - Insurance

We are looking for Sessional Ombudsmen in Insurance to work on a per engagement basis. This role is part of a busy decision-making team.

Role Overview:

• Expert support as part of a lawyer pool.
• Engagements range from a few days to months.
• Suitable for senior lawyers or legally qualified professionals with experience in financial services, particularly insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Natural leader, consultative, and able to quickly understand complex issues.
• Efficient in independent and collaborative work.
• Effective communication and empathetic demeanor.
• Resilience when faced with criticism from consumers and firms.
• No reasonable perception of bias towards either financial services or consumers in the last 3 years.

Qualifications:

• Legal qualifications.
• Significant senior-level legal experience in insurance, tribunals, EDR, or regulatory agencies.
