Contractor Sessional Ombudsman - Insurance

We are looking to appoint Sessional Ombudsmen in Insurance to work on a per engagement basis.

Sessional ombudsman provide expert "on demand" support to our decision-making team.

Engagements can be for a few days, weeks, or months.

Ideal candidate:

• Senior lawyer with established practice or executive-level legally qualified professional with financial services background (particularly general and/or life insurance).
• Interest in community service, values work-life balance.
• Natural leader, consultative, effective at understanding complex issues.
• Efficient in independent or collaborative work.
• Laser focus, excellent communication, empathetic.
• Resilient, able to handle criticism.

Requirements

• Legal qualifications.
• Significant achievement record at senior legal level in insurance, tribunal, EDR scheme, regulatory agency, or related entity.
• No reasonable perception of bias towards financial services members or consumers over the last 3 years.
