Contractor Software Engineer - NodeJS/TypeScript

You'll be joining Xplor as a Back End Developer on the Engineering team, working to advance the Xplor Active product. The main objective is to help build the web front end of the Xplor Active mobile application. This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Xplor Active is a modern, cloud-based mobile application platform.

Reporting to the lead tech, your main tasks will be:

1. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
2. Implement high-performance, secure backend services.
3. Implement unit and integration tests.
4. Participate in code reviews and share best practices.
5. Participate in release activities.

Essential Skills:

• French (CEFR C1): Due to most of the team being based in France, fluency is essential.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in NodeJS development, ideally with NestJS/TypeScript.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.

Highly desirable skills:

• Knowledge of monitoring tools
• Remote work experience with teams in multiple countries
• Willingness to learn and progress
• Team spirit and a love of technical challenges
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (K8S)
