This is a contract-to-hire position for one of our clients. This position is fully remote. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
We are looking for a Software Engineer (PHP) to join our growing engineering team.
You'll be part of a remote-friendly company scaling a powerful platform used by over 200 organizations nationwide. You'll work in a collaborative environment alongside a tight-knit engineering team, contributing to both legacy systems and new development efforts as they continue to modernize and enhance the platform.
The platform was originally built on PHP 5.3, has since been upgraded to PHP 7.4, and is migrating to PHP 8. This is a great opportunity to work across a range of technologies and help guide the platform’s continued evolution.
Responsibilities:
- Support QA and act as a bridge between QA and the Lead Engineer
- Implement minor bug fixes and changes based on QA feedback
- Assist with internal data input processes
- Learn and grow within a supportive team environment
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience with PHP and JavaScript
- Basic understanding of web development concepts
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
- Exposure to working in a remote development team
