About the RoleSeeking an Infrastructure Engineering Intern (4-16 months experience) to join the infrastructure engineering team.
Team responsibilities include the infrastructure for building, deploying, and monitoring services, databases, and caches.
Challenges to Solve:- Work with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Istio
- Accelerate development with faster, safer, and more frequent deploys
- Improve developer happiness and productivity with better development tools and workflows
- Contribute to cost savings initiatives and optimizations
- Catch errors and performance issues early with automated monitoring and alerting
- Experience with POSIX-based operating systems
- Familiarity with Docker
- Knowledge of networked services in the cloud (VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
- Desire to automate repetitive manual processes
- Ability to spot and eliminate waste
- Quick learner
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Containerized microservices in Python and/or JS (15k+ requests per second)
- Kubernetes for deploying services
- Infrastructure as Code in Terraform and Helm
- Datadog and Opsgenie for logging, monitoring, and alerting
- Postgres for storage and Redis for caching
- Gitlab for version control and CI/CD
- Python, Bash, and Docker for local development workflows and CI/CD jobs
